Tasting from 05.09.2019: Dominik Vombach, Benjamin Herzog

Intense nose of ripe, dark berry, followed by floral notes and spiciness. Concentrated palate, dense, with smooth tannin and an elongated finish.

More about the tasting

Smells of dark chocolate and dried meat, Appenzeller Mostbröckli, soft fullness on the palate, very crumbly tannins, spicy mid-palate with clear signs of ageing in wooden barrels, creamy, very round finish (the alcohol only shines through a little). Emphasized mild acidity - but the phenols carry.
