The red wine Santa Yecla DO, vintage 2015 from the winery Bodegas Castaño has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Mourvèdre from the region Murcia in Spain.
This has aromas of cinnamon and fig compote, clove, and herbal notes, it is an opulent bouquet in an already developed stage. It is powerful on the palate, with mellow and grainy tannins, and a very subtle acidity. It is a red wine of overwhelming opulence and richness, plump and yet well balanced despite its breadth, and with a long and spicy finish.
