Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Delicately smoky and ethereal black forest berry fruit, tobacco, sun-drenched undergrowth, black cherries, juicy plums, a hint of figs. Deep and very persistent, now showing its first maturity and beginning to open up with a warm character, certain ageing potential.
