The red wine Barolo DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Bovio has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Brilliant ruby-garnet colour with rim brightening. Fragrant nose with savoury pepper and fruit such as hibiscus, red currants and raspberries. Firm tannins on the palate, already ripe in places, well-structured and balanced, a little rough on the finish. Pleasant drinkability with a long finish. Gains with further ageing.
