The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Brigaldara has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella
Dark, old ruby red with subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose some fine oak, ripe berryish fruit, dried tomato, comes in several waves with incense, cherries, raspberries; very complex. On the palate very elegant, with notes of black tea, tight tannin, lots of juiciness and fruit, extremely elegant Amarone with a lot of verve.
