The red wine Rupes Barbera del Monferrato DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Canato has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Rich ruby red with a slight orange tinge. On the nose fresh yellow fruit, apricots, peach, and underlaid with light powdered sugar, it seems youthful. Fresh and juicy on the palate, gripping, opening with elegant fine oak notes, supported by a nice suppleness. It is taut, with good length, and has a slight dryness on the finish.
