Tasting from 03.09.2019: Ulrich Sautter

The intense dark berryish fruit that you would expect from a Primitivo appears quite fresh and tidy here, without any overly forward tones. The palate is focused and almost slender for the variety, with a suitable amount of grainy tannins, well-integrated acidity and pronounced juiciness. Neither jammy, alcoholic nor sweet. Very good wine, even as a food wine (mushroom dishes, game).
