The port Ferreira Vintage Port DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Casa Ferreirinha has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional from the region Douro in Portugal.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, very soft brightening on the rim. A ripe bouquet with delicately spicy underlay of dark wild berry fruit, dried fruit nuances and some nougat. Good complexity, juicy and sweet, ripe, well-supporting tannins, has very good length, fine chocolate touch on the finish, pleasant freshness, certain ageing potential.
