The red wine Don Vincenzo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Casaloste has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense, flint ruby red with brightening to the rim. Strong savoury nose, slightly animalistic, rich plums and blackberries, some sealing wax, truffle. The palate is carried by elegant acidity, very lively and vibrant, full-bodied with muscular body, taut tannin, yet delicate and light on its feet in the glass, finishes with firm drive, a great Gran Selezione!.
