The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Prime Donne, vintage 2012 from the winery Casato Prime Donne has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with garnet rim. Opens with slightly smoky notes, some vanilla and sandalwood, clarifies as it opens up, with beautiful fruit behind it. Wood still dominates the palate at present, lots of potential, beautiful notes of tobacco and fruit after a long aeration.
