The red wine San Lorenzo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Castello di Ama has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Malvasia Nera
It has a vivid ruby colour, with a slight purple shimmer. There is an inviting nose with lovely notes of ripe wild raspberry, as well as some smoke and clove aromas in the background. On the palate there are fine well-placed tannins, and it unfolds nicely, with lots of juicy fruit, and good drive on the finish.
