The red wine Barbaresco Riserva Albesani Santo Stefano DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Castello di Neive has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Powerful, bright, dark garnet. Opens with notes of leather and saffron, then pickled cherries, some sealing wax and hints of dried mushrooms. Gripping on the palate, lots of ripe plum fruit, hearty tannins with plenty of bite, earthy notes on the finish.
