The red wine Artas Primitivo Salento IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Castello Monaci has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Primitivo from the region Puglia in Italy.
Bright ruby. The nose shows notes of wood-spice, followed by mushroom and ripe fruit note, with a background of chocolate and black olives. On the palate there is a marked use of wood, coconut notes, red berry fruit, feels a little disjointed with a very drying finish.
