The red wine Prima Pietra Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Castiglion del Bosco has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby red with a purple core. Initially somewhat reserved on the nose, then opens up to reveal ripe cherries and plums, a hint of Rumtopf and fine wood spice. Still very young on the palate, with grippy tannins allied to a core of juicy fruit. It's full of tension, and should definitely age for some time.
