An intriguing copper colour provokes interest. Then there is a lovely notion of freshly baked rye crumb blended with ripe Red Delicious apple, with a orange zest overtone. On the palate the dryness, the saltiness, the depth are intense. Hints of field mushroom emerge to show Pinot's essential earthiness. This is profound and comes with a supremely salty finish.
