The sweet and dessert wine Clos Haut-Peyraguey, vintage 2009 from the winery Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc from the region Sauternes in France.
Intense golden yellow colour, delicate brightening on the rim, silver reflections. Ripe quince and pear fruit, yellow tropical fruit in the background, a hint of nougat, candied orange zest and some figs. Juicy, opulent and well-balanced, powerful but freshly structured, a very elegant style with great length, as if from a single mold, already pleasant.
More about the tastingMedium golden yellow. On the nose, intense ripe pear, a hint of quince, pleasant notes of nougat and caramel. On the palate, intense dark caramel, chocolate nuances, a touch of coconut and well-integrated new wood, very full-bodied but balanced, immense length and great aromatic depth. A perfect example of the vintage.
