The red wine Château des Bardes, vintage 2014 from the winery Château Croix de Labrie has been rated in 2017 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region St. Emilion in France.
Fresh dark berry fruit, some wood, sweet almond, still quite closed overall. The palate structure combines substance with mildness, the tannins appear ripe and are wrapped in a layer of creaminess, length and density are good to very good, the wine is still youthful and compact, but has good substance and even some chalky minerality. Very solidly prepared.
