The red wine Saumur Rouge AOC Eolithe, vintage 2014 from the winery Château de Fosse-Sèche has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Saumur in France.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle bright rim. Delicately savoury underlay, wild berry fruit, gently floral, a hint of fresh orange zest, nice flinty minerality. Elegant, red berry, nuances of tangerine, refined structure, with sea buckthorn and rosehip on the finish. It has very individual aromatics marked by the flinty soil and is almost floral on the finish. It has a most distinctive character.
