The red wine Château de Sancerre Terre de Chailloux, vintage 2016 from the winery Château de Sancerre has been rated in 2021 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Loire Valley in France.
Toasty hints of oak still pervade the tart, red cherry notes on the nose. This is followed by hints of wet pebble and red berry brightness. The palate already shows lovely signs of earthy undergrowth that frame the fruit, alongside some walnut-bitter oaky tannins. A lovely and elegant wine that cries out for food.
