Tasting Notes
November 2005: Medium, bright ruby garnet, broad ochre touch. Ripe, sweet dried fruit on the nose, fully ripe plums, chocolate, complex and powerful on the palate like many 47s, shows enormous depth, rich and silky texture, a hint of dried porcini mushrooms, huge length, mocha roast aromas on the finish. A wine to which one can only bow in reverence after almost sixty years.
