The red wine Cahors AOC L’Excellence, vintage 2008 from the winery Château La Reyne has been rated in 2011 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Malbec from the region South West France in France.
Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. Dominant exotic wood spice on the nose, dark berry fruit delicately underlaid with dried fruit and liquorice, grapefruit zest. Juicy, black berry fruit, pleasant extract sweetness, well-integrated tannins, sticks well, has ageing potential.
