The sweet and dessert wine Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, vintage 2009 from the winery Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon from the region Sauternes in France.
Intense yellow gold colour, subtle brightening on the rim. Ripe apricots, oak, candied orange zest, a hint of strawberries, attractive botrytis notes. Full-bodied, tightly woven, ripe yellow tropical fruit, refined notes of nougat, good acidity, mineral aftertaste, sweet and persistent, balanced, already drinking well, but with great ageing potential. Better to wait another two to three years.
