The sweet and dessert wine Chateau Lamothe, vintage 2011 from the winery Château Lamothe-Despujols has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle from the region Sauternes in France.
It has a medium yellow gold colour, with silver reflections. There is a delicate oaky savoury aroma, along with a hint of apricot confit, candied orange and grapefruit zest, and a lovely honey touch. On the palate it has a good complexity, with juicy peach fruit, a pleasant integrated sweetness, a fresh structure, and fine blossom honey on the finish. It is elegant, balanced, already well developed, and has a hint of raisin on the back palate.
