Tasting Notes
A powerful cherry fruit pours from the glass, Amarena and sour cherry, milk chocolate, also cassia vera. Blueberry compote, then thyme, sage and bay leaf. The palate opens softly, then layers large quantities of fine-grained, mealy tannins over the supple base, the acidity appears ripe, but carries well and is supported by well-defined tactile chalky minerality in its structure-giving function. The strong alcohol is well integrated. The first savoury aromas flash on the finish, and the wine is already gluggable, but will continue to improve over the next five to ten years.
