The red wine Cahors AOC L’Authentique, vintage 2008 from the winery Château Pineraie has been rated in 2011 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Malbec from the region South West France in France.
Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate rim brightening. Intense ethereal nuances of eucalyptus, fresh mint and grapefruit zest over dark berry confit on the nose. Juicy, sweet blueberry fruit, dark chocolate, relatively much wood in play, remains well adherent, medium complexity, lemony and fresh on the finish, still needs some time to harmonize.
