A hint of new oak and small red berries in a spicy, complex profile. Milk chocolate, aromatic herbs, menthol. Very fragrant. The palate is very firm; despite its fine-grained tannic structure, the wine is crisp and compact, with plenty of juice but also a certain austerity. (U.S.)
