The red wine Zottorinoto Etna Rosso Riserva, vintage 2011 from the winery Cottanera has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Sicily in Italy.
Sparkling ruby with a fine garnet shimmer. Initially opens with smoky notes, then lots of strong raspberry, some pomegranate. Plucky, dense tannins on the palate, very well structured, dark fruit, earthy tones at the back, still seems closed, but becomes rounder and more open as it opens up.
