The red wine Ságana Tenuta San Giacomo Sicilia DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Cusumano has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Deep dark garnet with purple reflexes. Distinctly fragrant with juicy blueberry, plum and fine pralines, as well as freshly roasted coffee, and tobacco in the background. Grippy and mouth-filling, it shows a lot of intensity, and seems compact with slightly pithy tannins. Finishes powerfully with rich fruit nuances.
