Tasting from 12.11.2021: Anne Krebiehl MW

A flinty whiff of reduction is still evident on the nose, underneath gentle oak smoke smoulders alongside a lemony, ripe, vivid fruitiness that recalls juicy, yellow plum. More air reveals moss and alluring, almost floral perfume. The palate comes with a creamy, and super-smooth texture that unites the ripeness of the 2018 vintage with the inherently English briskness. The body is full but the contours are sleek, defined, precise. The citrus edge is exquisite, A new chapter for England.
