A lovely hint of iron oxide precedes notions of crushed blackberry, a touch of violet plays along. The palate is juicy, bold, almost a little rustic but oh so full of life. The tannins are ripe and smooth and fine freshness pervades all with vivid brightness. A rustic but most charming Mercurey.
