The red wine Ventoux AOC Persia, vintage 2017 from the winery Domaine de Fondrèche has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Mourvèdre from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
Blackberry confit, elderberry juice, dark chocolate, fruity on the palate, grainy tannins, very strong alcohol, not with the same intensity of fruit as in the fragrance, but still insistent. The finish is emphatically creamy, softening the alcohol and the graininess of the tannins.
