A still youthfully-closed spiciness on the nose which, however, suggests complexity: peppermint, thyme, sage, cherry pit and sour cherry with some plum come across. The palate is creamy and fine with mellow but evident tannin, ripe acidity with the power being kept in check by good fruit expression and a very textural finish.
