The red wine Pech Calvel, vintage 2022 from the winery Domaine Girard has been rated in 2025 by Romana Echensperger with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pays d'Oc IGP in France.
In addition to red berries, this Pinot Noir now also shows fine toast, vanilla and mocha notes from ageing in wooden barrels. The first ripe aromas are reminiscent of freshly ploughed earth, moss and damp undergrowth. Emphatically dry on the palate with a fine-grained tannin grip, savoury structure and a subtly bitter finish.
