Tasting from 09.07.2019: Ulrich Sautter

A very fine and nuanced bouquet: sweet cherry, rose, pine resin, but also something inorganic like rock flour. On the palate, the wine is juicy with very fine tannins, but above all there is initially a vivid tactile minerality that gives the palate power. There is a firm thread of acidity and well-integrated alcohol, a wine of the utmost mineral subtlety. 100% Serine (massale selection of the local Syrah) on gneiss.
