The red wine Côte-Rôtie AOC Coteaux de Tupin, vintage 2016 from the winery Domaine Jean-Michel Stephan has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 95+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
A very fine and nuanced bouquet: sweet cherry, rose, pine resin, but also something inorganic like rock flour. On the palate, the wine is juicy with very fine tannins, but above all there is initially a vivid tactile minerality that gives the palate power.
