The red wine Faugères AOC Valinière, vintage 2016 from the winery Domaine Léon Barral has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Mourvèdre, Syrah from the region Faugères in France.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Delicate violet touch, a hint of liquorice, dark cherries, mineral touch, fine noble wood savouriness, orange blossom in the background. Complex, juicy, ripe berry fruit, minty silky texture, round, supporting tannins, shows very great length, still youthful, will increase with bottle ageing.
