The red wine Cepas Viejas Mencia Bierzo DO, vintage 2013 from the winery Dominio de Tares has been rated in 2016 by Axel Biesler und Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Castile and Leon in Spain.
Where power and concentration remain fresh on the palate and stimulate, acidity and the right amount of tannins must be in play. It is certainly also thanks to the Mencia variety that this delicacy leaves a mineral impression on the palate and becomes powerful purism.
