Compact, savoury aroma of violets, sultanas and dates. Dense and yet with an austere minerality. Sophisticated. Famous depth with bitter chocolate tannins. Grilled sardines and braised dishes will stand it in good stead. Delicate wine that proves that the better wines usually come from old vines.
