The sparkling wine Canopus Brut Nature, vintage 2020 from the winery Elõd Szijjártó has been rated in 2023 with 89 Falstaff points.
With its green and golden apple profile this comes close to a sparkling Vouvray or Montlouis, but strikes a stronger salty note on the palate. Youthful, with limited yeasty richness but has poise and texture. Very good indeed, and the more surprising for being the first ever sparkling wine made by this producer!
