Tasting from 01.12.2017: Martin Kilchmann

Very deep, dark red. A massive woodiness and touch of volatility on the nose, behind fruitier notes of cherry, rosehip, eucalyptus. The palate brings a powerful attack - dense, powerful tannin and a marked acidity. The wood still feels noticeable. Good length on this Merlot and certain ageing potential, but can it support the new oak?
