The red wine Puntay Blauburgunder Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Erste+Neue has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Nero from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright, flint cherry red with garnet reflections. Open-hearted aroma of ripe sour cherry and red currant, with a hint of blackberry and light herbal savouriness in the background. Juicy on the palate, lively on the tongue, shows tension and good drive on the palate, crisp, with a noticeable use of wood, tightly woven and slightly salty on the finish.
