The sweet and dessert wine Vinsanto 4 years barrel aged PDO Santorini, vintage 2010 from the winery Estate Argyros has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Assyrtiko from the region Cyclades in Greece.
Tasting Notes
Pale amber with mahogany reflections and a delicate ochre rim. Delicately nutty underlying ripe peach fruit, a touch of nougat, arancini and a pleasant sweetness, underpinned by subtle oak flavours. Juicy and light on its feet, yet amazingly complex, with delicate nougat and dried figs, elegant and lasting with good finesse and minerality.
