The red wine Nenè Sicilia DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Fondo Antico has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Deep, shimmering ruby with a garnet-red rim. Delicately savoury bouquet of fresh pepper, cardamom and tea leaves, plus dried sour cherry and amarena. Juicy on the palate with lively acidity, fresh with an animating, light-footed texture, young, slightly grainy tannins, finishes on red fruits, shows very good drinking flow.
