Tasting from 12.02.2016

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple ruby reflections. On the nose initially restrained nuances of dried plum, faint overripe hints, subtle nougat caramel, underlaid with some jammy dark berry fruit, and a touch of exotic spice. Juicy and elegant on the palate, powerful texture still somewhat driven by brandy, seems relatively powerful for the style of the house, gentle hints of orange, vivid tannins, fine dark chocolate on the finish, mineral nuances, still seems a touch unbalanced, yet it has good length and sure ageing potential. It is very good, but in this early phase by no means completely convincing.
