The white wine Garces Silva Agapes Sauvignon Blanc NV from the winery Garces Silva Family Vineyard has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Leyda in Chile.
A solera from three vintages, this iteration including 2013, 2014, 2015 aged in oak barrels. Intense vanilla characterises the nose and hints of dried fruit almost suggest a sweet wine. The palate, however, is dry. There is a strong oak influence - with oodles of vanilla - on the palate, too, but the acidity of Sauvignon Blanc makes this possible. Most unusual, totally compelling. A strong umami finish, salty and moreish.
