The red wine Bricco delle Viole Barolo DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery G.D. Vajra has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Shiny ruby with light garnet glints. A very intense and clear nose full of ripe cherries, some violets and fresh plum that's dying to be bitten into. Smooth and round on the palate with lots of juicy fruit on the attack before opening up into fine-meshed, dense tannin. Finishes as if equipped with an afterburner.
