The red wine Eccellenza Passito Rosso Toscana IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Poggio Rozzi - Graf Toggenburg has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero, Sagrantino from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, full ruby with a garnet-red rim. Very pronounced bouquet of Amarena cherries, pickled violets, tar, underpinned by a slightly ethereal, savoury note. Soft and flattering on the palate, firm tannins, dominated by dried fruit notes and dark chocolate, with a lively freshness, powerful through to the persistent finish.
