Tasting from 14.02.2019: Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler

Clear, intense ruby-purple. The nose opens with notes of tar followed by rich notes of blackberry, blueberry and sour cherry. There also nuances of clove, like an Amarone with a Tuscan identity, the wine is made from dried grapes. On the palate it is very direct and tight, fine with amazingly fresh fruit, powerful, well-integrated tannins, it is multi-layered with a bone dry and saline finish.
