The red wine Cabraia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Gualdo del Re has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a brilliant core. Very rich, intense and profound on the nose, with inviting aromas of blood orange, truffle, blackberry and subtle earthy tones. Ferrous on the palate, with clear, juicy fruit and a austere finish, youthful with beautiful expression in a Mediterranean style, very juicy on the finish. Has definitely benefited from a year of bottle ageing.
