The red wine Cabraia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Gualdo del Re has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, dark ruby red. On the nose there are distinctive notes of smoke and tobacco, the fruit aromas are a little reserved at first then show concentrated notes of mulberries and cardamom with some eucalyptus nuances. It is full-bodied and dense on the palate, firm with grippy tannin and a finish of liquorice and molasses.
