The sweet and dessert wine Welschriesling Beerenauslese, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Tschida – Angerhof has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Welschriesling from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Bright medium golden yellow, silver reflections. Fine savoury underlay with ripe yellow fruit notes, candied orange zest and nougat, still somewhat restrained, ripe apricot in the background. Complex and juicy with a silky texture, a touch of dried fruit, mineral-salty on the sweet finish with a touch of honey. Definite ageing potential, but already accessible.
